During the last 20 years, Heliphotos School Visits have demonstrated and explained helicopters to over a million school children nationwide. We are a "peoples' organisation" and whether invited to your school to support a work topic or a special event, you can depend on Heliphotos for a positive and professional approach. In recognition of our valuable educational contribution by involving the community in aviation, we were awarded a National A.O.P.A. (Air Operators and Pilots Association) Trophy.

A visit from Heliphotos

Before a helicopter may land at your school, we need to conduct a site survey and this is generally done by appointment during the winter months. Once this is complete and the landing area has been approved (we obtain all permissions), a date can then be arranged for your school visit.

Our main flying operations usually take place from April through to September each year. However, if you have a special school event or celebration at any time of the year, please let us know.

Heliphotos' costs are met by the sale of the Souvenir Picture Packs, which contain a class group picture and various aerial pictures of your school and surrounding area. Parents are invited to purchase these packs and in turn the school can earn commission on the sales.
