The key element in the delivery of quality training is the Instructor. Cabair College of Air Training has been highly selective in its appointment of well-qualified and highly motivated instructors who bring to the College experience from a range of military and commercial backgrounds.

Cabair College of Air Training is unique in that it forms part of the Cabair Group, which can rightly claim to deliver the greatest number of training hours per year in Europe, and as a consequence has ready access to suitably qualified instructors as and when the need arises. There are currently 27 fully qualified and JAR Approved Flight Instructors, 6 dedicated Simulator Instructors and 10 Ground Theory Instructors within the College.

In-house line and recurrency training is conducted by the College Standards department in accordance with Quality commitments as identified by both the College and the JAA.

It is usual to maintain an instructor/student ratio of 1:6 for single-engine and simulator training, and 1:3 for multi-engine training. As a result, instructors are able to closely monitor student progress and respond to individual needs.

Students on Cabair Integrated Courses have always achieved excellent results in their flying and ground training. In the JAA Theory examinations, for instance, the first-time pass rate is consistently high - and well above the national average.
