Accommodation

Although not a mandatory requirement, the majority of Integrated Course students choose to live on the Cranfield University campus during training. There are two accommodation options:

Mitchell Hall of Residence - Cranfield

Individual student study/bedrooms each equipped with single bed, wash basin, wardrobe and study desk. A telephone is provided with voicemail and there is a television aerial socket (students must provide their own TV licence). Two showers, a bath, an airing room and small kitchen are shared between each group of rooms.
A restaurant, canteen, lunchtime buffet, common room (with large screen TV) and bar are all located within the hall. The reception desk is open seven days a week.
These rooms are available at the current rate of £122.96* including VAT per week. This charge includes cleaning, bed linen and one meal voucher for use in the hall per day.

Lanchester Hall of Residence - Cranfield

This Hall offers only self-catered accommodation, with rooms and facilities similar to those in Mitchell Hall. There are no catering facilities but each group of seven rooms has access to a modern well equipped kitchen area. Students can make use of an oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, kettle and full range of cooking utensils.
They also have access to a vacuum cleaner and iron. Each student has a lockable cupboard for storing food. All communal areas are cleaned daily but students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and maintaining a good standard of cleanliness elsewhere. They are required to supply their own bed linen, duvet/blankets and pillows.

These rooms are available at the current rate of £87.60* including VAT per week which must be paid by monthly direct debit.

  Cranfield University Facilites

Indoor facilities include a new weight training/fitness centre and sports hall. This hall can be used for badminton, tennis, basketball, indoor football or volleyball. There are also squash courts available (at a small fee) at the Halls of Residence. Outdoors the playing fields are available for football, rugby, hockey and five-a-side pitches in the winter, while transforming, in the summer, into a cricket ground. The campus also has four tennis courts, two of which are available for winter use.

Indoor swimming pools are situated in both Bedford and Newport Pagnell. There are Ten-Pin bowling alleys at Bedford and Milton Keynes, the latter also has a new 200 metre indoor ski slope and skating rink. Roller skating is available at Bletchley. All these facilities are within a 10 mile radius of Cranfield.

On the campus at Cranfield there is a branch of the National Westminster Bank, Barclaybank automatic cash dispenser, General Food Store and Post Office, Bookshop, Newsagents, Hairdresser, Social Club, Library, Garage and Petrol Station. Launderettes are located in both the Halls of Residence. There are several refectories/canteens/cafes available to students across the campus.

Off-Campus Accommodation

It is not a mandatory requirement for Integrated Course students to reside in the University Halls. For those who prefer to arrange their own local accommodation there are two options.

CCAT always holds a full listing to cover local Bed and Breakfast availability and this information can be obtained by email from here.

For those with families and/or wishing to relocate, we have always found Thomas Charles Estate Agents in Bedford to be extremely helpful and they can offer a full range of rental opportunities locally. Information can be obtained from their site www.tcea.co.uk
